For years I have tried to lose weight, I’ve tried everything form Atkins to Zen.


Several years ago I suffered a back injury and was on workmen's comp. Already being overweight at 5’11” and 215 My weight skyrocketed to 250 in just 6 short months! My doctor referred my to a orthopedic surgeon who prescribed foraminal injections and physical therapy. He told me that the only way I would avoid more injury in the future was through conditioning. Once I was able to get back on my feet I implemented a diet and exercise program. I made a commitment and EIGHT MONTHS LATER I LOST 70 POUNDS,WENT DOWN TO 9% BODY FAT AND GOT INTO THE BEST SHAPE OF MY LIFE


Hello, My name is Rich and after finding the answer for REAL WEIGHT LOSS I now have everyone asking me “how did you do it”? I thought it would be a great idea to share it with you.  I have even been encouraged by my coworkers to share my success story. I work in health care and having been complimented by several anesthesiologist and surgeons,even one who specializes in bariatrics (Gastric Bypass Surgery). EATING THE RIGHT FOODS IN THE CORRECT AMOUNTS WILL FORCE

Losing weight fast and healthy takes 3 things. Proper diet, exercise and a good nights sleep (8 hours!) If you apply all three, you will lose all of the weight you want.  Keep in mind that diet is key. You can achieve your weight loss goals this way alone, it’s just faster to include exercise.  At a minimum I would suggest walking at least 20 minutes a day three times a week.  This will help to keep your metabolism up and also maintain cardiovascular health.


That being said, I would like to share the diet portion of my program, This will allow you to lose weight by using specific foods and just a few supplements the will cause your body to burn fat while retaining lean muscle.  You will NEVER go hungry on this diet because your body will get everything it needs.  You will eat 5 times a day and with the correct portions I outline, the combinations will keep you feeling full ALL DAY long.


You need nutrients to maintain proper health and lose weight, You also need to make sure they are proportioned correctly to burn FAT. It’s the combination of these that will make your body burn FAT while retaining lean MUSCLE.

LEAN MUSCLE IS THE KEY TO LOSING FAT, MUSCLE BURNS FAT WHILE YOU DO ANYTHING,EVEN SLEEP!


THE REASON FOR THIS IS THAT MUSCLE IS METABOLICALLY ACTIVE,UNLIKE FAT THT JUST SITS THERE AND TAKES UP SPACE, MUSCLE MAKES YOUR BODY WORK BY BURNING FAT EVEN WHILE YOU SLEEP. THE ONLY WAY YOUR BODY CAN WORK IS TO BURN CALORIES AND BURNING CALORIES CAUSES WEIGHT LOSS.




                            OK, NOW LETS LOOK AT DIET.










PROTEIN,CARBS AND FATS. ALL 3 ARE NECESSARY FOR FAT LOSS




PROTEIN IS THE MAINSTAY OF THIS DIET,IT’S NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN LEAN MUSCLE WHICH IS KEY. LEAN BEEF,SKINLESS CHICKEN AND FISH. PROTEIN POWDER THAT IS LOW IN CARBOHYDRATES IS A GREAT SUPPLEMENT 2 OR 3 TIMES A DAY.


CARBOHYDRATES NEED TO BE FIBROUS,FRIUTS AND VEGETABLES ONLY,ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK YOU CAN INTRODUCE STARCHY CARBS IN THE FORM OF WHOLE GRAINS SUCH AS WHOLE WHEAT BREAD,CEREAL AND PASTA. THESE ARE NECESSARY TO RESTORE GLYCOGEN IN MUSCLE TISSUE TO MAINTAIN LEAN MUSCLE.


FATS YOU WANT TO CONSUME ARE 2 TYPES. OMEGA 3 AND OMEGA 6,THE WAY TO GET THEM ARE AVAILABLE IN FISH OIL AND FLAX SEED OILS.





                                           PORTIONS.


While these three groups are vital for weight loss, the correct portions are even more important!


PROTEIN, CARBS AND FAT NEED TO BE KEPT AROUND 60%,20% AND 20% RESPECTIVELY. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING I CAN STRESS.


Easy Meals.


I eat 5 meals a day and you need to do this as well in order to keep your metabolism revved up. Eating five meals a day is easy to do.  One of my most common meals consist of  2 scoops of protein powder in water (I like chocolate), 3 FISH oil tablets and an apple. Not only does this provide you with the nutrients and correct proportions, it keeps you fill for several hours!
